What is a Culture Fair Test?

The Culture Fair test battery is made up of two different tests. A score at or above the 98th percentile on either will qualify one for admission into the organization. As these are admission tests, one will be sent notification of whether or not they qualify for American Mensa admission. No other interpretation or information on the scores will be given.

Both tests are nonverbal paper and pencil tests. Test items require only that the subject be able to perceive relationships in shapes and figures. Both tests measure individual intelligence without, as much as possible, the influence of verbal fluency, cultural climate, and educational level. Both tests measure general reasoning ability and aspects of learning ability of the subject. Both are culturally unbiased and do not require previously learned reading skills.
